Abstract

3110. Mallock, A. Feb. 5. Rulers.-The ruler A is square, with bevelled edges, and is provided with two sets of rollers on spindles c<6>, c<7> and d<6>, d<7> which are pivoted to crossbars c<4>, c<5> and d<4>, d<5>. Springs c<8>, d<8> normally hold the bars so that the rollers do not touch the paper, but on pressing a knob C or D acting on the lever c<3> or d<3> the corresponding rollers are lowered, and the ruler can be run along upon them parallel to itself by pushing at the knob B.
