Abstract
188,456. Banks, T. Sept. 17, 1921. Light and other radiations, treating diseases with.-A light and heat bath in which the limb of the patient is simultaneously exposed on all sides, comprises independent top and bottom sections 12, 13 of semi-cylindrical shape, lined with aluminium 28, 16 or other metal and containing lamps 30, 18. The bottom section 13 is arranged beneath a wooden rest 2, provided with a backrest 11, and a grid 7 on which the limb is supported. The top section 12 which terminates at a distance from the back-rest 11 has one end open and is slidable on the rest, or it may be counterpoised or hinged. In each section lamps 30, 18 are radiallv disposed and connected to separate switchboards 31, 24 so as to allow the heat and light in each section to be independently controlled by the patient.
