Abstract

187,966. Jullian, G. J. Oct. 27, 1921, [Convention date]. Indicators actuated by floats.-A device for indicating the contents of a liquid fuel tank comprises a float with a conical top and attached indicating rod 7 which works in a sleeve 5 secured in a screwed stopper 1 which closes the filling aperture, the top 8 of the sleeve serving as scale index for the rod which is confined within the tank when not in use by a cap 9 with cork lining which is slipped over the end of the sleeve 5. The indicating rod is provided with a flanged end 14 to prevent the rod from passing into the tank when the latter is empty. The sides of the cap 9 are glazed to enable the position of the rod to be inspected.
