Abstract

Plate, dish, and like racks; draining-appliances. -A draining-tray 10 is supported at one end on a sink 12 and at the other end by uprights 11<a> to which are secured tables 19, 37, a collapsable draining-rack resting on the uprights 11<a> and tray 10. A towel rail 27 is attached to the. table 19 and other rails may be secured to convenient parts of the apparatus. The tray 10 comprises a corrugated sheet metal which rests on a frame which is downwardly inclined towards the sink and' is provided with upstanding sides 13 and a rail 15 which prevents the articles from slipping into the sink. The frame is secured to the sink by U-shaped members 40 or a downwardly projecting ledge resting inside the sink and cam shaped turnbuttons engaging the outside may be used. The tray is pivoted to one side of the crossmember 16 and the table 19 to the other side. The table 19 is supported by a strut 20 hinged to the cross member 17 and' is removably secured to the table 19 by a slotted hinge and a turnbuckle. The table 37 is hinged to the lower cross bar 18 and is supported by hinged legs 38. When the apparatus is collapsed the table 37 is housed between and is flush with the uprights 11<a>, the tray 10 rests along one side of the uprights and the table 19 on the other side. The draining rack comprises frames 28, 29, connected by pivoted bars 30, having cross members 31 and vertical rods to support plates &c., a cup rack 33 having pegs 34 being mounted on the frame 29 and below it a cup rack 35 removably secured to the frame 29 by pins 36<a> which engage key-hole shaped slots in plate 36 attached to the rack 35. The frame 28 may have pins which fit into recesses in the cross member 16, or the rack may be pivoted to the member 16 to fold against the draining tray when the device is collapsed. A towel rail may be arranged at the side of the draining-tray in which case the rail would be hinged to the adjacent member 11<a> and pass through a ring attached to the tray.
