Abstract

172,916. Stevens, W. H. Oct. 1, 1920. Fastening wearing - apparel. -A garment-supporting clasp comprises a frame A having a central cut-out portion 5 diminishing into slots 4 and terminating in reversely extending branches 6. The frame A is curved transversely and the side portions 2 are made wider than the end portions 1. In operation, a bunched part of the garment is inserted in the opening 5, pressure being applied to the side portions 2 to move the tongues 3 apart and allow the garment to pass into the slots 4, the tongues 3 gripping the garment on release of the clasp.
