179,048. Portass, F. W. April 1, 1921. Turning; stands or supports for portable machines. -A stand for a small lathe or other machine, particularly a treadle-driven one, consists of two parallel or inclined uprights A, A<1>, braced at intervals. The lower cross-member rests on a floor, and the upper one against a wall &c. The lathe, as shown in dotted lines, is secured to the uprights, which it assists in bracing. The cross-member D may serve as a bench or a tool or work tray, and the member E, with the member C, forms a tool rack.
