Abstract

178,397. Varret, R. E. J. April 11, 1921, [Convention date]. Condensers. - The armatures of condensers comprise series of sections M of different sizes, each section being provided with one or more current leads P accessible from the outside of the condenser. The invention is particularly applicable to condensers of the band type, in which the armatures are mounted on bands or strips of dielectric material which are then rolled into a coil. The leads P are connected, through fuses if required, to collecting rings C on the inside or outside of the coil. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) includes also condensers in which the armature sections M are of equal size, as shown in Fig. 4 (Cancelled). This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
