Gaseous-fuel furnaces.-In a tunnel kiln of the kind in which the gases take a horizontal zig-zag course along the length of the tunnel, gas from producers k is delivered through flues l, l<1> to combustion chambers m, m<1> in the side walls of the tunnel, and is there burnt with air supplied from the cooling-zone through the flues n.
