Abstract
176,842. Oliver, R. G. July 4, 1921. Screw propellers.-The blades of a screw propeller, fan, or the like are constructed with slots which curve in cross-section and longitudinally, having overlapping edges, and in which the several parts fall within the configuration of an ordinary blade. The slots may extend to the tips or may be bridged at or near the tips. The blade with three parts a, b, c, Fig. 1, has two slots o which are curved longitudinally and in cross-section, alternative sections being as shown in Figs. 2 and 4.
