Stud - and - socket fastenings.-A fastener of the stud- and-socket type for securing a revoluble rubber heel-pad b to a boot or shoe heel a, comprises a headed pin e, the stem of which has opposite grooves f, and a casing h containing a pair of spring arms g, this casing being secured to the heel a and provided with a central aperture as shown in Fig. 7. To secure the pad, the pin e is passed through the usual hole provided in the pad band its metal plate c and then pressed downwardly into the casing h until the spring arms g engage in the grooves f. The pad is released by turning the pin e by means of a screw-driver or like tool which engages in a nick i provided in the head of the pin.
