174,563. Schaudel, C. Jan. 27, 1921, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Egg-cups.-An egg-cup comprises a ring C having a contracted portion D supported by arms B from a base A. The egg is raised and held against the ring C by means of a screw E. The inner ridge D of the ring C serves to determine the size of, and assist the knife in cutting, a hole in the top of the egg. The annular rim C flares outwardly above the contracted portion D to form a basin for receiving any part of the egg which may overflow. In modified forms the screws may be replaced by springs or by a smooth rod clamped laterally, or the lower part may be fixed and the upper part movable or the egg-cup may consist of two superimposed portions containing the egg and drawn against one another by a cam, screw, or one or more springs.
