Abstract

169,404. Brookes, F. S. Dec. 7, 1920. Licence-holders for motor vehicles.-Either the back plate 2<a> or the front ring 7<c> of the licence-holder is formed integral with the numberplate 1 of the vehicle. The licence 3 may rest in a shallow tray 4, which is inserted beneath the glass 5 in the holder. The outer edge of the ring may be flush with that of the back plate, as shown, or it may be bent over the edge of the back plate to render the holder more wet-proof. According to the Provisional Specifications, the holder may be made separate from the numberplate and connected thereto by riveting &c.
