167,958. Slater, S. C. July 30, 1920. Spring wheels with continuous outer rigid ring and pneumatic rubber - ring and like cushions.-Two discs A bolted to the hub grip between their edges the web of a T- shaped rubber ring C, the arms of which are held in grooves d in side plates D which are held in spaced relation by a ring F and bolts f and carry a rubber tread E. The space H is made airtight by packing-rings f<1>, and is filled with compressed air through a valve of usual form. Antifriction balls d<1> may be provided to facilitate movement of the plates D over the discs A. Creeping between the rubber ring and the plates is prevented by projections c<2> which fit recesses in the bottom of the grooves d.
