167,267. Taber, S. M., and Taber, P. E. May 3, 1920. Wheels.-A tool primarily for removing surplus rubber from a tyre comprises a body 5 of aluminium or other metal or hard wood on a shaft. Saw blades 10 are retained in transverse slots 7, in the body 5, by split rings 9, which lie in grooves 8 in the side faces of the wheel and engage notches 12 in the blades 10. Preferably, only the teeth project beyond the slots, which may be in non-radial planes; adjacent blades may have their teeth pointing in opposite directions. Peripheral grooves 15 intersecting the slots 7 allow of free radiation of heat. Dished plates 14 of resilient material retain the rings 9 in place. The wheel is also adaptable for work on wood, leather, fibre, &c.
