Abstract
166,959. Stuart & Moore, Ltd., and Sutton, G. J. April 23, 1920. Disc and like plate hinges.-A joint for coplanar members which may have extensions overlapping comprises a pair of circular plates 14 flanged to engage circular grooves 11, 12 in the members which are held thereby; the plates being held by a rivet or bolt and nut. The coplanar members have an angular portion cut away to suit, and extensions which overlap as shown at 19, 20, Fig. 6, may be formed. The joint is applicable to carpenters' rules, set squares, wind-screens, calipers; balls or rollers may be employed to reduce friction at the bearing-surfaces.
