Abstract

166,431. Kilburn, B. E. D., (Fish, N.). June 16, 1920. Specific-gravity estimating-apparatus.-A device for testing rubber latex by measuring its specific gravity comprises a platform A which floats on the latex and has vertical end members B in which is pivoted a balanced lever F, the outer end F<1> of which serves as an indicator on a scale H carried by an upright member C of the platform. The stem J' of a hollow body J immersed in the latex is attached to the lever F. The uprights B, C are connected by a member D serving as a handle for the device. The lever, may carry a screwed rod K passing through the handle D for locking the lever and handle together.
