Lateral-splash guards.-A splash-guard E, Fig. 1, for the wheels of motor-vehicles is fixed to a lever J, mounted on a rod forming part of a bracket D passing in front of the wheel so that it is free to move in a vertical or horizontal direction or both, against the action of a spring L, Fig. 4. The ends of the guard are rounded, and a strengthening-strip M is provided. The front-wheel brackets are secured by bolts F, G, the latter forming part of the steering-arm H.
