Abstract

Sodium bicarbonate; ammonia; alkali metal compounds, obtaining from complex silicates. In the ammonia-soda process, ammonia is regenerated from the ammonium chloride by means of leucite instead of lime. The ammonium chloride and finely-ground leucite are heated to a suitable temperature under pressure, for instance in an autoclave. Potassium chloride and aluminium silicate are obtained as by-products.ALSO:In a modified ammonia-soda process, the resulting ammonium chloride is heated under pressure with finely-ground leucite, when aluminium silicate and potassium chloride are obtained as by-products.
