Abstract

1536214 Manholes BRITISH STEEL CORP 7 July 1977 [8 July 1976] 28477/76 Heading E1G A manhole assembly comprises a frame 1 defining a quadrilateral, and at least two triangular covers 2, 3 each pivoted along one side on opposite sides of the frame to cover the area defined by the frame. The frame is rectangular and the covers are right angled triangles with a foot at the apex opposite the pivoted side. The specification also describes a locking device for the covers which is subject matter of Specification 1536213. The covers are pivoted on bosses which engage in slots 29 and are secured by locking pins 30.
