Abstract
1534363 Foamable vinyl chloride polymer plastisols STAUFFER CHEMICAL CO 29 June 1976 [23 July 1975 29 Jan 1976] 26981/76 Heading C3C A foamable vinyl chloride polymer plastisol which has a fusion temperature (as defined) of 200-300‹ F. contains as blowing agent 4,4<SP>1</SP>- oxybis (benzene sulphonyl hydrazide) alone or in admixture with benzene sulphonyl hydrazide or toluene sulphonyl hydrazide, together with a non-volatile organic base or an oxidizing agent as activator for the blowing agent. In the examples mixtures of a terpolymer of vinyl acetate, vinyl chlorideandbis(beta chloro-ethyl)- vinyl phosphate, butyl benzyl phthalate, a hydrogenated terphenyl, CaCO 3 , benzoyl peroxide, dioctyl phthalate, urea and/or TiO 2 with the above blowing agent were heated to form foams.
