Abstract

1533869 Reshaping tubes, making boxes RODA MACCHINE SA 30 Dec 1975 [18 April 1975 18 Dec 1975] 53077/75 Headings B5A and B5D Tubes 9, perhaps of cardboard, are reshaped by locating them upon formers 2, 3, 4, 5 carried by a frame rotatable to bring the formers successively to stations A to D. The formers are expanded during their passage through the stations by levers 6 which engage a fixed central cam 7. Each former comprises a pair of separable halves 2, 2<SP>1</SP>, 3, 3<SP>1</SP>, 4, 4<SP>1</SP>, 5, 51 or may comprise a unitary body over which the tubes are merely pushed to reshape them. In a second embodiment, the tubes project slightly from the formers, the projecting region being glued to receive either a bottom or a cap.
