Abstract

1533862 Tractor quick hitch JEAN WALTERSCHEID GmbH 3 Dec 1975 [3 Dec 1974] 49602/75 Heading A1P A coupling hook, welded to a lower draft link of a quick hitch, comprises a locking element 4 which retains an implement coupling member 25 in a jaw 11 and which is pivoted at 8 in the hollow coupling hook body below the bottom of the jaw 11 so that frictional forces opposing unlocking of the hook are small. A pawl 5, pivoted at 19 to element 4 and at 23 to a lever 6, which itself is pivoted at 9 to the hook body, is depressed by member 25 during the coupling operation, and through the various pivot connections causes element 4 to pivot into the hook body to allow member 25 to enter jaw 11. The spring 7 then returns the parts to their original positions and element 4 is locked in place due to the over-centre position of pawl 5 and lever 6 (Fig. 2b). A traction cable, secured to eye 21, is pulled to unlock element 4 (Fig. 3c). An insert 3 within jaw 11 allows limited angular displacement of member 25 in horizontal and vertical planes.
