Abstract

1531664 Vacuum cleaners FISKER & NIELSEN AS 19 April 1977 [20 May 1976] 16131/77 Heading A4F In a vacuum cleaner in which dust laden air is directed into a casing 1-3, through a filter 6 and then through a motor-fan unit 13-18, the air leaving the unit through outlet opening 20 and being discharged from the casing through opening 21 past diffuser 22 and possibly exhaust filter 23, the temperature of the casing is reduced by connecting the openings 20 and 21 by a resilient tubular seal 26 and by putting the space 29 surrounding the seal 26 into communication with the downstream side of the filter 6 so that cool air circulates in the space 29 before passing through and being heated by the motor-fan unit. Openings 40 direct cool air towards the space 29. The motorfan unit 13-18, as shown including a two stage fan, is suspended on resilient rollers 31 and axially located by resilient rollers 35 within a detachable hood 3 of a cannister-type cleaner.
