Abstract

1529967 Transformer and inductor cores BICC Ltd 28 April 1977 [29 April 1976] 17526/76 Heading HIT In a magnetic core comprising at least two parts each formed of flat laminations adhesively secured together, each part has groups of adjacent laminations arranged to project, the projections forming an interdigitated arrangement on assembly of the two parts. The laminations may be E-shaped (Figs. 1, 3 and 5, not shown), and may be all identical and symmetrical (Figs. 3 and 5), or identical but non-symmetrical (Fig. 5). An air-gap may be provided in the centre leg. The laminations may be of nickel iron or silicon steel and may be bonded by epoxy or phenolic resin.
