Abstract
1529524 Stemmed glassware SOJUZ NAUPROIZVODSTVENNOE OBIEDINENIE "STEKLOMASH" 23 July 1976 [30 Jan 1976] 30756/76 Heading C1M Stemmed glassware is press-moulded in a device comprising an openable female die 1 (giving the desired external profile), a male die 4 defining the desired internal shape, and a foot die 2 for shaping the bottom surface of the base of the glassware, the lower surface of the female die 1 intersecting with the upper surface of foot die 2 so that the surfaces are in contact about their entire periphery, and so that the diameter D of the space defined is greater than that (D | ) of the desired base of the glassware, the distance I from the edge of the article to the line of intersection of the die surfaces being not less than the thickness h of said edge. The said die surfaces preferably intersect at an angle (α) of 2-30 degrees. An annular groove d and apertures d 1 may be provided to allow venting of air while pressing. A limiting ring 3 closes female die 1 and shapes the rim h 1 of the glassware.
