152,858. Abraham, H. Oct. 13, 1919. Roofing. - Shingle strips having nailing tabs on one edge and correspondingly shaped recesses on the other are cut from a sheet of roofing-material by first cutting slots 1 therein and then cutting the material along the lines indicated in Fig. 2 so as to produce strips which are laid as shown in Fig. 1. The shape of the tabs and recesses may be varied.
