Abstract
Objects made of a superalloy on the basis of nickel, cobalt or nickel-cobalt, with a chromium content of at least 6 per cent by weight, have the aluminide coating removed therefrom by means of an aqueous solution which consists of an effective amount of HNO3 within a range of from 5 to 40 per cent by volume, the remainder being water, at a temperature of from 10 to 45 DEG C for a time sufficient to dissolve the coating, preferably at least 15 min.
