Abstract

The shrink film (23) surrounding the packaged material (22) built up into a column on a pallet is shrunk by the action of heat, the heat being generated by a hot-air mast (8). The hot-air mast (8) is arranged rotatably about the shrinkage column (21) to be arranged immovably. Additional conveying devices otherwise assigned to a turntable can thereby be avoided on lines automatically working intermittently. <IMAGE>
