Abstract

1523192 Television BRITISH AIRCRAFT CORP Ltd 31 March 1977 [12 Feb 1976] 05525/76 Heading H4F To prevent an image formed by signals derived from a photosensitive CCD array from being blurred when movement occurs between the CCD array and the image incident thereon, shift potentials are applied to the CCD array to move the image-representing charge pattern stored thereon in correspondence with the relative movement i.e. the existing image-representing charge pattern is moved over the photosensitive portion of the CCD array in register with the movement of the incident image relative to the array. The array may be located in an aircraft, in which case the rate of clocking of the charge shifting means is controlled in response to the ground speed and altitude of the aircraft.
