1522191 Preparing supported catalysts UNITED KINGDOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY 7 Jan 1976 [7 Jan 1975 3 April 1975] 661/75 Heading B1E Supported catalysts are made by providing in a sol which comprises colloidal particles of support material in a liquid medium, a material convertible to catalytic material; converting the convertible material to catalytic material thereby to coat the colloidal particles with catalytic material; coating a metallic substrate with the sol and gelling it. The catalysts so formed may be used in hydrogenation and isomerisation reactions and in the purification of gases.
