Abstract
1521195 Gas turbine combustion apparatus NISSAN MOTOR CO Ltd 16 March 1976 [19 April 1975] 10448/76 Heading F1L [Also in Division F4] Gas turbine combustion apparatus comprises an outer casing 12 containing a premixing chamber 14 receiving fuel and air from injector 28 and swirler. 30 respectively and delivering the rich or lean mixture via swirler 19 to the main combustion chamber 10 where it is burnt with additional fuel supplied by injector 16. A cooling air passage 22 is disposed around the latter. Additional air is supplied to the chambers through perforations 24a, b and 20a, b, c. Combustion is initiated by closing starter switch 42 causing valve 40 to open so that pump 34 supplies fuel via relief and control valves 36, 38 and pipe 18 to injector 16 for ignition by plug G. No fuel is supplied to injector 16 until accelerator 46 is depressed to open valve 44.
