1521040 Coating with Ni and braze material STANDARD TELEPHONES CABLES Ltd 18 Nov 1975 [28 Nov 1974] 51577/74 Heading C7F A Si or SiC workpiece is cleaned and degreased, etched in aqueous NH 4 HF 2 /HF, electroless Ni plated from a bath of NiCl 2 , Na glycollate, and NaH 2 PO 2 , and a coating of braze material is applied to the Ni layer. The aqueous solution may contain 50 wt. per cent HF and 25% NH 4 HF 2 ; the Ni bath may contain 30 g/l NiCl 2 , 50 g/l glycollate and 20 g/l NaH 2 PO 2 and have pH 4À5 to 5À5.
