Springs, arrangement of; guiding vertical play. -A spring suspension for motor-cars &c. comprises a pair of arched blade springs a located in a vertical plane and each attached at one end a' to the axle g and at the middle to a bracket b pivoted to a piece c secured to the casing or body e, while the other end a<2> is turned upwards and is either free to slide on a slide block h on the casing, as shown, or pivoted to a bracket pivoted to the casing. A hole e‹ is provided in the casing for the passage of the spring if necessary. The suspension may be transverse, as shown, or longitudinal.
