Abstract

1520170 Lawn mowers FUSO KEIGOKIN CO Ltd 16 Dec 1976 [31 July 1976] 52494/76 Addition to 1504906 Heading A1F In a lawn mower pairs of overlapping cutter discs 7a, 7b are rotatably mounted in housings 8 which are pivotally mounted at 9 to the underside of a disc 3 driven in contra-rotation by a motor 4. Due to centrifugal force each housing pivots about its mounting 9 until a wheel 15, mounted on the upper end of the shaft 10a of cutter disc 7a, abuts on a circular wall 5 depending from the mower frame 1, and as the disc 3 rotates, the wheel, and hence the disc 7a, is driven in rotation by contact with the wall 5. The cutter disc 7b is spring biased into engagement with the disc 7a and is driven thereby in contra-rotation.
