Abstract

1520044 Making shoe &c soles ANTONIO NOVA Srl 10 May 1976 [30 May 1975] 19123/76 Heading A3B [Also in Division B5] A preformed strip 8, which is incorporated as at least part of a tread surface of a plastics sole 7 during its injection moulding onto a shoe ramp 1, is retained in the injection mould against displacement under the injection pressure, by at least one pin 9 which extends from a mould part 2 carrying the ramp 1, to clamp the strip 8 against a mould base 3. Where the strip 8 extends over all the tread surface, it is provided with a hole 8a, in the region in which injection is effected through a channel 6 of the mould base. The strip 8 is manually inserted into the mould, which also comprises a peripheral frame 4 of two or more parts which are displaceable laterally of the base 3. The shoe comprises a slipper, or house shoe, with the strip 8 being of textile material, such as cord.
