Abstract

1519718 Controlling lifts PROJECT & DESIGN CO (REDCAR) Ltd 13 Aug 1976 33897/76 Addition to 1412134 Heading B8L A system for controlling a lift movable along a track associated with stairs as described in parent Specification, is modified in that the lift motor is controllable by "up" and "down" signals generated at call/send stations located along the track and detected by one or more receivers on the lift. A safety wedge brake on the lift is engageable with the track upon slackness occurring in the operating cable.
