Abstract

1516369 Helical-scan video tape recorders FERRANTI Ltd 29 Oct 1976 [31 Oct 1975] 45146/75 Heading G5R During playback, each successive cycle of played-back video information (e.g. radar signals) is temporarily stored in digital form, and the occurrence of cross-over drop-out (i.e. loss of signal when the rotating playback head leaves the tape) causes the corresponding video information from the preceding cycle to be read out from the store.
