Abstract

1515777 Selective printing SIEMENS AG 23 June 1976 [29 Sept 1975] 26068/76 Heading B6F Ink jet printing head has its nozzles arranged in a plane and ink passages 3 fanning out from the plane. The illustrated head is produced by inserting elements 5 on dowels (not shown) and wiring and connectors for the elements into a mould prior to casting the block of dielectric material 2. The dowels are removed to leave the passages 3. A jet plate 6 may be provided having accurately produced apertures. A throttle plate 11 with openings 12 connecting the distribution 10 to the passages 3 reduces unwanted pressure fluctuations in the passages 3. A grid 13 is used to prevent air from entering the ink supply system from the passages 3.
