Abstract

1515231 Cooling and heating bottles in racks NMK ELEFTHERIOU 21 Jan 1977 [22 Jan 1976] 02563/76 Heading A4H [Also in Division F4] A cabinet or like holder for wine bottles 3 comprises a means e.g. a rack forming spaces for the bottles, heating and/or cooling means arranged to heat or cool the bottles and a thermometer 4 adapted for insertion through the neck of a test bottle for submersion in liquid therein which is coupled to a controller to regulate the heating and/or cooling means. The cooling means comprises a fan blowing cold air on to the bottles and providing a cold air curtain, and the heating means may be formed by an electrically heating wire 6 wound about earthenware tubes 1 about the bottles and set in a cement panel 2. Alternatively hot water or steam in copper tubes about the bottles may be used.
