Abstract

1513358 Comminuting apparatus GR CAVAGION MECCANOTECNICA Srl 20 Jan 1977 [1 April 1976] 02263/77 Heading B2A Comminuting apparatus for reducing and dry cleaning plastics waste comprises a vertical cylindrical tank 2 Fig. 1 with a rotatable knife head 4 bearing removable knives 7 cooperating with counter-knives 8, a top opening for waste, a removable bottom door 13a, a filter bordered by a chamber 19 connected to an exhaust fan 23. The filter comprises a filtering drum 21 cooperating with a brush 24 and a brush 27 Fig. 2 which is operated by a ram 25 to clear the holes in the drum. The fan 23 removes dust dirt and gases produced during comminuting, e.g. chlorine. The door 13a is opened by a ram and the mill exhausted by a fan 15 and a conveyor 14 and paddle 16. The motors fans and rams are centrally automatically controlled.
