Abstract

1512317 Pipe joints TEKNOVA AS 2 June 1976 [9 June 1975] 22793/76 Heading F2G A fixture for connection to the discharge spout 5 of a gas bottle, the spout having a collar 9 comprises a housing 1 including a central shaft 2 and an external skirt 3 enclosing an annular space 4 into which a cap 15 may be screwed by means of threads (not shown), the cap 15 being rotatably mounted on a bottom guide member 12 serving to support a pair of opposed hooked locking members 10 between it and a sliding sleeve 7 which is urged away from the housing 1 by a spring 8 the arrangement being such that from the position shown with the sleeve 7 contacting the collar 9, screwing of the cap 15 into the space 4 will compress the spring 8 and cause a ring 17 integral with the internal wall of the cap to rock the hooked parts of the locking members 10 into engagement behind the collar 9. Simultaneous with the movement of the locking members 10, a shoulder 6 on the central shaft 2 enters the spouts 5 and serves to open a valve (not shown) in the spout outlet.
