Abstract
151,208. Holt & Sons, W., Holt, T., and Holt, J. W. Feb. 24,1920. Tissue-figured fabrics.-In weaving quilts, counterpanes, &c., two warps a, b, Fig. 5, from respective beams are used, the warp a being operated by a jacquard and being at a greater tension than the warp b, which is operated by healds. Ground wefts c and figure welts d are inserted, preferably two picks of each alternately, the wefts d being floated at the back where no figure is required and being subsequently cut away by a clipping or shearing machine. As shown by Fig. 2, at the second pick all the jacquard-controlled warp threads are raised by the comber board. The warp a may be of different count from the warp b.
