1511094 U-bolt assembly HECKETHORN MFG CO 11 Feb 1976 05411/76 Heading E2B A U-bolt assembly comprises a U-bolt 10 having legs 13 received in portions 22 of a saddle S and secured by nuts 12; the saddle comprises two sheet metal webs welded together in face-to-face contact and reinforcing flanges 21 formed by doubling back edge portions of the webs extending perpendicularly to both the passages and the webs and below the edge of recess 19. The saddle may be formed from two separate webs as in Fig. 1 or a single folded web (Figs. 6-10, not shown).
