Abstract

1510505 Vibration densitometers ITT INDUSTRIES Inc 16 May 1975 [16 May 1974 2 Dec 1974 9 Dec 1974 10 Feb 1975] 20858/75 Heading G1G A vibration densitometer has an auxiliary apertured shield 62 formed of two similar halves 33 (47), Fig. 9 (not shown) surrounding the densitometer vibrating vane assembly 28 to reduce unwanted flow effects of fluids in which the vane 16 is immersed and of removing the necessity for re-calibration for every change of fluid. Apertures such as 35, 36 may be supplemented by an array of cylindrical holes (199), Fig. 14 (not shown). The shield may be surrounded by a tubular well 63 dimensioned from design criteria (equations 1-31, not shown) and having apertures (78, 79), Fig. 11 (not shown). The densitometer may be that of Specification 1328888 (Gl).
