Abstract

1510190 Pigment dispersions ICI AUSTRALIA Ltd 21 Nov 1975 [6 Dec 1974] 48011/75 Heading C4A [Also in Division C3] Acrylic polymers containing hydroxy groups are modified by reaction with an oligomer of a hydroxy-carboxylic acid HO-X-COOH in which X is a saturated or unsaturated aliphatic radical containing at least 8 carbon atoms, there being at least 4 carbon atoms between the OH and COOH groups. Poly-(12-hydroxystearic acid) is a suitable reactant. Use: as pigment dispersants.
