Abstract

1509157 Gas scrubber METALLGESELLSCHAFT AG 20 July 1976 [28 Aug 1975] 30242/76 Heading B1R A radial flow gas scrubber comprises a gas inlet 2 into a housing 1, a conical deflector baffle 4 with guide vanes 5 for imparting a rotational component to the gas flow, an annular dust pocket 6 to catch dust thrown outwardly by centrifugal force, dust removal ducts 7 and 8 and a wet scrubber section comprising conical inlet 9, adjustable-gap. radial flow scrubbers having openings 12, 22, adjustable rings 13, 23, scrubbing liquid sprays 10, 20 and clean gas outlet 3. The inlet to the wet scrubbing stage is flared in the direction of gas flows.
