Abstract

1509069 Electron beam curing of flocked material C G CHITOURAS 11 June 1975 [17 June 1974] 24958/75 Heading B2E Elongate particles such as nylon, polyester or rayon flock, are embedded in an adhesive layer, e.g. acrylic epoxide, styrene, vinyl chloride or unsaturated polyester resins, which adhesive is coated on a substrate and electron beam cured. The electron beam energies are such that temperature sensitive substrates may be employed, e.g. synthetic plastics materials, paper or other wood products, cloth or metal clad plastics materials.
