1508705 Adhesive coated polyethylene terephthalate film TEIJIN Ltd 19 March 1976 11204/76 Heading B2E [Also in Division B5] An adhesive film comprises a polyethylene terephthalate substrate oriented in at least one direction and having a refractive index in that direction of 1.57 to 1.78, a refractive index in the thickness direction of 1.48 to 1.57, a density of 1.340 to 1.390 g/cm<SP>3</SP>, a thickness of 5 to 250 microns and an adhesive layer coated on at least one surface either directly or through a metallic layer of thickness 5 to 200 mÁ. The substrate may include minor amounts of other polymers and may include copolyesters. Many suitable adhesives are specified.
