Abstract
1508199 Solar heat exchangers DRAKE & FLETCHER Ltd 8 Oct 1976 [18 Sept 1975] 38369/75 Heading F4U A solar heat exchanger, preferably in the form of a brass tube 2 coaxially surrounded by a glass tube 3, is closed by end caps 6 having axial bores 16 extending therethrough. The bores 16 are closed by rubber flaps 17 to prevent ingress of ambient air, but to allow egress of gas from the space 5 when the gas pressure therein exceeds a predetermined threshold value. The outer tube may be formed in sections, connected together by connectors 13 having a plurality of axially-extending circumferentially spaced bores 15 extending therethrough.
