Abstract

1506509 Vehicle switch mountings NISSAN MOTOR CO Ltd 19 Dec 1975 52152/75 Heading B7H [Also in Division H1] Vehicle control panel switches are mounted so as to retract into the panel when impact is applied thereto, the arrangement serving to prevent occupant injury in vehicle collision. A switch body 16<SP>1</SP> is mounted by flanges 20 on bolts fastened to panel 12. Springs 18 about the bolts compress to allow retraction of the knob and switch body when an occupant's body is thrown on to the knob.
